Lower Extremity Bypass

For lower extremity bypass surgical techniques, Cardiva has the widest range of prostheses on the market, both in *Dacron with a specific design to reduce thrombogenicity and double-coated PTFE

Dacron prostheses in patented fabric, reduces dilatation associated with this type of material, and it also incorporates an inner coating of Fluor molecules, which reduces thrombogenicity associated with Dacron in small diameters.

Also, this group of prostheses called Fluoropassiv is coated in a partially modified bovine gel, which apart from avoiding porosity allows them to link with the antibiotic Rifampicin to avoid the risk of prosthetic infections.

Cardiva supplies the double-coated PTFE prosthesis, with a thinner wall, which provides the greatest suture retention strength on the market.

There are prostheses coated on their outer side with partially modified bovine gel, which apart from avoiding porosity, allows them to link with the antibiotic Rifampicin to avoid the risk of prosthetic infections, and also significantly reduces bleeding associated with PTFE prosthesis anastomosis.

We also have a range of PTFE prostheses, supported with a patented PTFE spiral, called Unity , which apart from its high compressive strength, also has the added advantage of being able to cut it and shape it as required even in the area of anastomosis, thereby avoiding the wall effect as the geometry of the anastomosis is maintained.
