CU/CUR Electrode – Cannula

The latest in functionality, precision and control is Cosman Unified (CU). It is a complete radiofrequency cannula/electrode that unifies both the percutaneous perforation cannula and the RF energy conductor electrode as a fluid injection port and a thermocouple temperature sensor for temperature control during the intervention.

The CU simplifies RF procedures, inventory control, and sterilization logistics (since it is a disposable material that does not require any reusable attachment or electrode).

The fluid line helps maintain electrode position during injection to optimize control of lesion position and size. Its unique design is protected by U.S. Patent 7,862,563 and its design is available both with straight and curved active tip in a multitude of sizes and thicknesses.

  • Wide variety of length and size measurements of the active tip for use in any indication of pathology.
    • Active tip: 2 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm, 10 mm, 15 mm
    • Length: 5 cm, 10 cm, 15 cm, 20 cm
    • Thickness: 23 g, 22 g, 21 g, 20 g, 18 g, 16 g.
  • Conductive active tip with Temperature sensor.
  • Echogenic version available for use with echography.
  • Long, flexible medication and injection port and generator connection for optimal use under fluoroscopy, avoiding their appearance in the field.
  • Wide variety of active tips covering all the available RF protocols: straight pointed, curved pointed and curved blunt.

  • Faster and simpler treatment since it is not necessary to change the stylet and the electrode.
  • Enables the maintenance of the lesion objective since there is no movement of the cannula after placement.
  • inventory reduction since CU replaces separate electrode +cannula.
  • Clear fluoroscopic/ultrasound views: CU has a compact hub and echogenic option.
  • Habitually used in techniques that require high precision such as: geniculate nerves, Rf of the obturator or femoral nerve to treat hip pain, plantar fasciitis, Morton's neuroma etc…
