ACCU-VU

Grid catheters

Angiographic catheters with radiopaque markers that can be used for measurement of endoluminal spaces.

Characteristics

These are non-selective high-flow catheters available in three types of curves:

  1. Pigtail.
  2. Straight.
  3. Omni-Flush.

The Accu-vu angiographic catheters are manufactured from a nylon polymer, which gives them these characteristics:

  • High biocompatibility.
  • Low friction coefficient.
  • Shape memory.
  • High tensile strength and resistance to kinking.
  • Torque 1:1, which allows accurate catheter positioning.
  • High resistance to pressure (1050 Psi).

Specifications

  • The catheter body is made from co-extruded nylon.
  • The catheter has a flexible, smooth tip made from a nylon variant softer than the rest of the catheter body.
  • The catheter is joined to the tip by thermal fusion, which makes its resistance be the same as if it were manufactured as a single piece.
  • The tip is tapered so that it allows easy insertion of the catheter into the guide and is highly radiopaque.
  • The catheter has a smooth external surface that minimises injury at the site of insertion and reduces the risk of thrombi.
  • The radiopaque platinum marks of 1 mm thickness of maximum radiopacity are inserted every 1, 2, or 5 cm.
  • Available in different calibres (4 and 5 Fr) and lengths.
