CAPTURER

PUSHING ABILITY, NAVEGABILITY, EXTRACTION.

Clot extractor with rapid exchange (RX) design, indicated for the extraction of soft, recently formed embolisms and clots in the coronary arterial or peripheral systems, with minimum diameter of 2 mm.

The catheter body has a simple proximal lumen and double distal lumen configuration: The proximal simple lumen is reinforced with an internal wire mesh in order to give pushing ability to the system, and it is used for clot extraction. The double distal lumen is also meshed and is flexible in order to give navigability, and it has two functions:

  • Passage lumen as guide for the wire
  • Extraction lumen in direction connection with the proximal lumen

The extraction needle, in bevelled shape, is at the distal end. The catheter ends in a rounded, atraumatic point specially designed to avoid damage to arteries.

The Capturer clot extractor catheter features a safety probe for optional use. In the event of difficulties in navigation or probability of kinking, its use is recommended for easily reaching the area to be treated.

Once this area is reached, the probe must be withdrawn in order to proceed to the clot’s extraction.

The Capturer extractor catheter possesses two radiopaque markers, the more distal one is located inside the tip and indicates its position, whilst a second marker is located 15 mm behind in order to help estimate the length of the lesion.

The Luer connector is found at the proximal end, for connecting to different accessories.

The catheter’s distal part is coated with a durable hydrophilic coating that minimises friction and improves the catheter’s navigability.

The catheter’s components contain no latex.
