LUMINOR – 14

Paclitaxel-releasing peripheral dilation balloon catheter

Luminor 14 is a Paclitaxel-releasing balloon on a coaxial catheter, designed for the percutaneous transluminal angioplasty of small arteries.
There is a balloon at the distal part of the catheter, which inflates through the injection of contrast through the lateral port of the Y-connector. The straight entry port is for the guide wire.
The Paclitaxel coating is homogeneous throughout the balloon surface, at a dose of 3 µg/mm2. The drug is released by its inflation in a very short period of time (between 30 s and 1 min).

Luminor 14 features two radiopaque markers at each end of the balloon in order to demarcate its length, helping the professional place it during the navigation.

Its use is recommended with guides of 0.014".
